Our Approach

We empower communities in the approach of “KNOWLEDGE FIRST”.

TAYEP’s model is described as providing a local solution to a global problem. Our projects utilize local materials, local labor and ingenuity and ownership is transferred to communities. More importantly, we focus on optimizing sustainability of our projects by forming long-lasting, collaborative relationships with communities. We don’t initiate projects in isolation, Instead we work with communities to co-create awareness programs that are appropriate for them.

IDENTIFY

We work closely with local government authority to identify schools and communities most in need. Word spread so quickly! Neighboring communities in the region learn about our work and appeal to us!

BUILD

We work hand in hand with the community and involve them at every stage of the work .From planning, manufacturing/building and maintenance.

ENGAGE

Community Engagement is at the heart of TAYEP’s philosophy. It allows us to gain a deeper understanding of the community’s needs. This means walking with them, eating with them and even living with them.

SUPPORT

With the goal of each community becoming community owned, we set up WASH clubs and village water committees and equip them with skills and tools to handle system maintenance and repair.
